Junior Skills Course
Is your teen looking for a challenge to raise their skill level and confidence on the water? This three-day adventure includes two nights of camping on Gambier Island in Howe Sound.
Our Junior Skills Course is open to girls and boys ages 12-14. Each session is led by two instructors experienced working with youth and certified in first aid and kayaking. This camp is open to beginners and those with some kayak experience and is limited to 10 participants each session.
The course focuses on paddling strokes and rescue skills in preparation for paddling 10 k from Bowen Island to Gambier Island for two nights of camping.
This camp is designed to build cooperation and decision-making ability and students will learn about the local heritage, geography, and marine ecology of Howe Sound and its environs.
All food and gear (except sleeping bag and pad) is included for $425.
