For youths 13+ looking to raise their skill level and confidence on the water.

Time: 9.45am-3.45pm
During the 4 day camp, our Instructor level guide will teach you all the skills needed to award you with Paddle Canada BASIC Kayak Skills Certification. Each day, there will be a certification element, but also time to explore the rugged coastline of Bowen Island and enjoy some paddling time with friends. Skills covered include:
- Wet exists and assisted re-entries
- Forward and reverse strokes
- Stopping
- Forward and reverse sweep strokes
- Bracing and Edging
- Risk assessment and mitigation
- Injury prevention
- Navigation

This camp time is designed to also welcome youths coming from the mainland on the 9.05am ferry and leaving on the 4.00pm ferry.
