2 Day Tour
Looking for your first overnight backcountry paddling adventure? This guided overnight trip is perfect for paddlers with some experience who want to explore Howe Sound with knowledgeable kayaking guides. It also suits those who want to make the most of their weekend.
DAY 1: Paddle north from Snug Cove to Cates Bay. Take a breather and prepare for the crossing to Gambier Island. Once the crossing is complete, make camp at Halkett Marine Park. Our guides will help you set up your tent, and afterward you can enjoy the bay or paddle some more, practicing you paddling skills with one of our fully trained guides.
DAY 2: After breakfast, we will make the crossing back to Bowen Island. We can explore the northern coast of Bowen Island, stopping for a bite of lunch on one of the beaches, before completing the paddle home to Snug Cove.
Minimum duration paddling each day 3 hours.
Food:
Paddling in Howe Sound is a backcountry experience. The food we prepare reflects this, we are not glamping – everything we take has to be stored in our kayaks and prepared using a portable stove. We will ensure any food allergies are catered for and will shop to taste within backcountry limitations.
Pricing:
Two days/one night. Minimum 2 people.
$425 per person – 2 people booking.
$382.50 per person – 3 people booking (10% discount).
$361.25 per person – 4 people booking (15% discount).

3 Day Tour
For experienced paddlers looking for a memorable adventure. This 2 night guided trip takes paddlers deeper into Howe Sound on a truly unforgettable tour. Departing on select Saturdays in April and May, make the most of your precious time away from work.
DAY 1: Paddle north from Snug Cove to Cates Bay. Take a breather and prepare for the crossing to Gambier Island. After completing the crossing, paddle further north along the east coast of Gambier Island, past Pam Rocks and Anvil Island to find a wonderfully secluded spot to camp for the evening.
DAY 2: After breakfast, you will be guided on a full day paddle, enjoying the spectacular sights of the north shore mountains before returning to your campsite for an evening meal.
DAY 3: We will pack up camp, after breakfast, and make the crossing back to Bowen Island. We can explore the northern coast of Bowen Island, stopping for a bite of lunch on one of the beaches, before completing the paddle home to Snug Cove.

A 50% deposit is required at time of booking to reserve your dates. Full payment is due 30 days prior to departure.
In case of cancellation: If 30 days or more before the departure date, a full refund wll be given. 15-29 days before the departure date, a 50% refund will be given. Less than 15 days before the departure date, no refund will be given.
Gratuities – While tipping your guide is not mandatory it is very much appreciated. Your guide works very hard to make sure you are safe, well fed and enjoy your trip. If you think you were well looked after a suggested guide tip is 10% of your trip cost. If desired you may tip them via your credit or debit card on return to our shop in Snug Cove.
